Thursday, August 25 at 7:30 p.m. on WSRE, “Conversations with Jeff Weeks” welcomes Dr. Sunil Gupta, a nationally respected retina surgeon and the founder of Retina Specialty Institute. Upon returning from the Clinton Global Initiative Conference, he discusses how he and his colleagues are working to put post 9/11 veterans to work in the medical field. These young veterans experience higher than normal unemployment rates. Dr. Gupta hopes to help returning veterans find long and satisfying careers in the medical field. Dr. Gupta and Jeff also discuss advances in medical science and the overall state of the U.S. healthcare system.
