Born in Mobile, Ala., Jeff Bass has been painting since age nine, and credits his mother, an artist herself, for starting him on his path as an artist. He went on to study the rudiments of traditional academic art, but pursued a career in broadcast journalism. After an accomplished career in television, he returned to his first love — painting. Today, Jeff Bass completes fine art portraits for private collections, colleges, boardrooms and museums. His work is not limited to portraiture — Bass has a passion for history and combines that discipline with painting to produce historical subject paintings for museums.
