WSRE Installs New Board Officers & Members

WSRE, PBS for the Gulf Coast, announces new foundation board of director officer appointments and members; Gordon Sprague, Chair; Susan O’Connor, Vice Chair; Ashton Hayward, Secretary. New board members include the following:

Dick Ihns was previously a member of the WSRE board serving as the chair in 2006-2007. Long before he was affiliated with WSRE, Dick, and his wife Helen, believed in the power of television and saw the potential of what WSRE could be to our community. With a significant major gift to the WSRE Future Vision Capital Campaign, the Ihns’ were indeed visionaries.

Demetria McNeese and her husband, Richard, moved to Destin and opened McNeese Title, LLC in 2003. McNeese’s move into the title business was a natural flow after a number of years of working in commercial real estate development and real estate management for major companies, both at the national and international level. Her business and marketing acumen began early in her career in Nashville, where she co-owned and managed a music publishing company that produced a number of Top 20 hits. She also worked with international and national clients in advertising and marketing promotions for a large Nashville radio station.

The WSRE Foundation, Inc. was established in 1991 as a direct support organization of Pensacola State College to support the activities and capital and operating needs of WSRE, the area’s local public broadcasting TV station.

Please note our NEW EMAIL ADDRESS: @PensacolaState.edu. Pensacola State College is the new name for Pensacola Junior College.
