WSRE's StudioAmped Concert Series Features Morris Minor

Morris Minor will be the featured performers of WSRE’s StudioAmped concert series on Friday, February 18 at 7 p.m. Morris Minor, based in Mobile, Alabama, is a rock band pure and simple. Always dedicated to the art of stellar pop songcraft, yet not afraid to dismantle a song and explore all the sonic possibilities within it, their music conveys upon the listener a sense of both the familiar and unexpected. Morris Minor was recently selected “Best Musical Group” in the Mobile Bay Monthly “Best of the Bay” edition. Someone once said that if you were to put Morrisey, The Rolling Stones, and Elvis Costello in the same studio and had them produced by George Martin you would create something that sounds like Morris Minor....and that's not far from the truth. Band members include: Greg Nobles (vocals, guitar); Joey Waits (drums, vocals); Daniel Nobles (keyboards, vocals); and Greg Thompson (bass, vocals). Morris Minor is currently working on a self-titled album set to be released in February. For more information on Morris Minor, visit their website at www.reverbnation.com/morrisminor.
