Friday, April 9 at 9 p.m. on WSRE, “Conversations with Jeff Weeks” welcomes internationally-known surgeon and medical researcher Dr. Lonnie Paulos. Dr. Paulos is the Medical Director and Vice President for the Andrews-Paulos Research and Education Institute at the Andrews Institute for Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Gulf Breeze, Florida. Dr. Paulos is a well-respected and sought after surgeon who has worked with some of the world’s top athletes including Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer.
Known throughout the medical community for his orthopedic research, Dr. Paulos has been the investigator of more than 100 studies and has received National Institutes of Health (NIH) and industry grants to support these efforts. He holds over 20 U.S. patents for braces, frames and fixation devices and has developed numerous surgical procedures and related devices, receiving international accolades for his work. Dr. Paulos has worked with many amateur and professional sports teams, including: The Cincinnati Bengals; University of Cincinnati; Georgia Technical College; the United States Freestyle Ski Team; the United States Gymnastics Federation; the Salt Lake Real professional soccer team; the Salt Lake Gulls (a Seattle Mariners Triple A Baseball Team); Brigham Young University; and the National Football League.
“Conversations with Jeff Weeks” is a half-hour, weekly series that is “personality-driven,” featuring in-depth discussions with unique individuals and leading newsmakers from all walks of life. The program airs every Friday night at 9 p.m. on WSRE, PBS for the Gulf Coast, with a repeat the following Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. Upcoming guests: Britt Landrum.
