Beginning April 8, 2010, WSRE will televise its new season of StudioAmped in high definition. All concerts will air on WSRE Thursdays from 9-10 p.m. with a repeat the following Wednesdays from 10-11 p.m. StudioAmped is an eight-week concert series featuring regional bands performing original material. The concerts were taped live before a studio audience in early 2010 at the WSRE Jean & Paul Amos Performance Studio on PJC’s Pensacola campus.
The concert series offers a variety of musical genres such as rhythm & blues, rock, western swing, indie, country and more. Bands scheduled to air will be:
April 8 • 9 p.m. — WAVE (Repeat April 14 • 10 p.m.)
April 15 • 9 p.m. — Gwen McCrae and Blue Daze (Repeat April 21 • 10 p.m.)
April 22 • 9 p.m. — The Modern Eldorados (Repeat April 28 • 10 p.m.)
April 29 • 9 p.m. — Jeremy Gibson Band (Repeat May 5 • 10 p.m.)
May 6 • 9 p.m. — The Gills (Repeat May 12 • 10 p.m.)
May 13 • 9 p.m. — Ghostown Phantoms (Repeat May 19 • 10 p.m.)
May 20 • 9 p.m. — Civilized Natives (Repeat May 26 • 10 p.m.)
May 27 • 9 p.m. — The Smart Brothers (Repeat June 2 • 10 p.m.)
