Guitarists Greg Carmichael and Miles Gilderdale are celebrating more than two decades together and forging ahead, complete with nostalgic fans, as an instrumental powerhouse duo in contemporary jazz. In 1987, Acoustic Alchemy gained thousands of fans around the world with the release of “Red Dust and Spanish Lace.” One of the band’s most remarkable recordings was 1996’s “Arcanum,” which featured new arrangements of classics, a few new tracks, and full orchestration. In 2009, they released “The Very Best of Acoustic Alchemy Vol. 2.” The duo performed at the Pensacola Saenger Theater in June, just days into their new U.S. tour and fresh from completing the mix for their newest album, “Roseland.”
